The position is located in Biological Core Technologies, a department within the Therapeutic Modalities function, where the design, supply and development of next generation biologics is the primary focus. We closely collaborate with our therapeutic areas and functions to convert therapeutic hypotheses into innovative therapeutics.

Science and Matrix Lead High Throughput automated Biologics Purification and Analytics (m/f/d)

Job missionWe are offering an outstanding opportunity for an experienced matrix and science leader (m/f/d) to work with a highly engaged team of IT, automation, protein chemistry and molecular biology specialists using state-of-the art (semi) automated systems. You will be responsible for the conception, development and implementation of automated purification, characterization and manipulation of therapeutic proteins and nucleic acids in close collaboration with other units in the discovery of next generation biologics.

Your impact

• Leading advanced high throughput automation and IT projects with a focus on therapeutic proteins and nucleic acids
• Supporting and shaping of our large molecule portfolio projects
• Driving the development and implementation of robot-based manipulation, purification and analytical methods and their integration into the IT landscape
• Nurturing trustful relationships and effective collaboration with internal and external partners

• First of all, you have a keen interest in working with automated liquid handling platforms, IT systems and databases
• Your extensive professional experience in automation of advanced protein biochemistry and nucleic acid handling and IT systems enables you to expertly lead cross functional project teams
• We can trust in your professional experience in drug discovery in the field of large molecule therapeutics
• A university degree in biochemistry, biology or similar area including PhD or master degree and several years of relevant professional experience have prepared you for this opportunity
• You are resourceful and flexible in problem solving and in working in a collaborative and inclusive manner with strong oral and written communication skills. Furthermore, you know how to prioritize, how to create clarity and focus.
