We have several positions to fill worldwide, focusing on the area of Global Trial Management.
Tasks & responsibilities
  • In Clinical Operations Processes and Capabilities (COP&C) we develop and maintain a Capability Landscape (processes, technologies and services) that empowers trial teams to efficiently plan and deliver clinical trials. We anticipate the future of clinical trial delivery and turn innovation into reality.
  • Global Trial Management capabilities are focused on supporting the Trial Team to plan, execute and deliver clinical trials. This includes Capabilities that enable teams to independently lead on topics that span the lifecycle of the trial for e.g.:
    • Processes that accommodate various study types (in house trials, fully outsourced trials, external research collaborations etc),
    • Timely IMP/AxMP planning and delivery, IRT
    • Trial Level Communication planning,
    • Trial Training,
    • Informed Consent
    • Adjudication, Safety / Data Monitoring Committees
    • Supplier selection, set up and oversight
    • etc
  • As a Senior or Principal Process/Capability Manager, you are accountable for
    • design, implementation, oversight, and continuous improvement of processes that facilitate independent decision making by trial teams,
    • development of process documentation and performance metrics,
    • monitoring of process performance, quality, and integrity,
    • process implementation and roll-out.
  • You leverage technology, vendor capabilities and external expert knowledge.

As Senior Principal Process Capability Manager, you additionally:
  • Act as a Capability/Product owner, with accountability for the overall performance and outcome of a capability area and mentor other Process Capability Managers and colleagues globally.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and thought leader internally.
  • Manage complex capability/product teams including a number of cross-functional sub-teams or the clinical development systems/digital portfolio to ensure clinical development execution excellence.
  • Optimize operational excellence and contribute to the employee capability development, particularly in the area of Clinical Operations Process or Digital Capabilities.
Requirements
  • University degree or comparable, preferably in medicine / science, paramedical science, computer science, business management or equivalent
  • Comprehensive knowledge required across healthcare or digital industry with solid Medical/Scientific understanding, including industry rules and regulations
  • Long-term pharmaceutical experience with proven track record of successfully implementing /complex solutions, preferably in different local and global roles
  • Visionary with flexible and outcome-based thinking and purpose orientation that focusses on smart risk-taking and fast decision-making
  • Creative and innovative mind-set with the ability to solve problems and navigate easily in a digital environment and excellent presentation skills in public to large audiences
  • Fluent communication skills in English
For the Senior Principal Process Capability Manager, additionally:
  • Ability to take decisions based on Real World Clinical Outcomes, Health Economic Value, Quality of Care & Efficiency, and patient preferences
  • Advanced expertise in capability or project/portfolio development and management as well as leadership experience in a direct line or matrix setting
