For our Translations & Document Quality Team we are immediately looking for a Proofreader/Project Manager Translations (m/f/d) in full-time (39 h/week). The Translations & Document Quality Team is responsible for organizing proofreadings and translations. It is also in charge of assuring a high level of document quality with respect to terminology and layout.

• Proofread documents/texts regarding proper spelling, punctuation, usage, and syntax in American English
• Check compliance with corporate language and make sure terminology has been applied consistently
• Ensure consistent translation of terminology and overall text quality on the basis of existing writing rules
• Examine and adopt minor changes regarding the layout of documents according to the company’s corporate design
• Final (layout) check of documents done by our team (4-eyes principle)
• Manage the whole proofreading/translation process for outsourced projects
• Prepare and follow up on translation projects in various languages and create, expand, and maintain translation memories and termbases in Memsource

• Degree in linguistics (English), multilingual communication or equivalent
• At least 2 years of professional experience in an editorial office/context
• Exceptional written C2 level of (American) English with outstanding grammar and spelling skills and a good sense for the English language
• Good project management skills (regarding own and outsourced projects)
• Competent user of MS Office; knowledge of CAT tools (e. g. Memsource) beneficial
• Self-reliant, efficient, and structured way of working with a high level of attention to detail
• Ability to work proactively and to handle stressful situations
• Communicative and flexible team player with a strong sense of responsibility
